ADHD Testing:
ADHD testing is a comprehensive cognitive assessment that evaluates verbal and auditory concentration, attention patterns, and executive functioning to determine whether you or your loved one has ADHD or a related processing disorder. Our thorough testing process at Every Heart Dreams Counseling breaks down the specific components of ADHD to provide an accurate diagnosis and personalized recommendations tailored to your unique needs. The assessment includes a detailed clinical interview, behavioral rating scales, cognitive testing, and a complete report with diagnostic formulation and individualized strategies for success. This in-person evaluation takes approximately three hours to complete and combines both subjective reporting and objective measures to ensure the most comprehensive understanding of your cognitive profile. Even if ADHD is not identified, you'll receive a full cognitive assessment that describes your learning patterns and custom recommendations for study materials and strategies that align with your natural functioning.
ADHD testing can be life-changing for individuals experiencing challenges with focus, organization, time management, emotional regulation, and daily functioning across work, school, and relationships. Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder affects people differently, and understanding your specific presentation is essential for developing effective coping strategies and accessing appropriate support. While many people associate ADHD assessment with obtaining school accommodations, the benefits extend far beyond the classroom—accurate testing provides deep insight into how you think, process information, and function in the world, along with practical recommendations to minimize symptoms and maximize your strengths. Our team at Every Heart Dreams Counseling recognizes that seeking ADHD testing often comes after months or years of struggling to understand why everyday tasks feel overwhelming, and we're committed to providing the clarity and answers you deserve.
Getting an ADHD assessment can help you:
